This assignment was to research an assigned topic then design and produce a 34x44in informational poster that could be folded down to 8.5x11in insert with a cover. I was assigned wealth and income in the United States. I chose to narrow my topic to focus in on the growing gap between rich and poor in the United States. My goal was to visually communicate the complex topic of wealth inequality in the U.S. into an informative easy to understand story. The information presented is meant to be communicated quickly and effectively in a highly organized hierarchy of information using both graphical data visualization and concise easy to understand textual information that supports the main story.

San Francisco Golden Gate Park Walking Tour Foldable Pocket Map - By Tyler Boddy

This assignment was to design and produce a instructional guided walking tour featuring 10 local points of interest. The final product is to be double sided 11 x 17 paper that can fold down to a size similar to an iPhone. All photography was done by the designer. My design process included designing an interactive google map of my proposed tour, taking the tour and photographing points of interest, researching each point of interest, designing an original printable map, and presenting all information in an easy to use and interesting way.
